" C9 f+ ?. ~7 JContext: Edmonton Immigrant Services Association is a nonprofit immigrant serving agency. The New Neighbours Program provides services aimed at facilitating the settlement/integration of newcomers into Canadian society.

Key responsibilities: overseeing the day-to-day activities/operations of the program; recruitment, training & supervision of volunteers for the program; recruitment/orientation of participants; matching newcomers with community volunteers & monitoring the matches; planning other program activities; maintain computer dBase record of services/activities., H" \7 M: U% p9 Z) P( Q( {
: k. p7 ~- ?5 N: H: E3 A9 KPLUS: act as a resource person; fulfill program accountability requirements; collaborate, network with other organizations /professionals liaison with ethno-cultural & immigrant community organizations; represent EISA at meetings and functions related to the program. ) C2 w! D: f# ~" b- N; s+ DKey Qualifications - Degree or Diploma in social work, social sciences or related areas. > Special requirements include: 2-3 years experience in program coordination; excellent interpersonal/communication skills, cultural sensitivity; knowledge & experience in volunteer management; good knowledge of available community resources/services.
