Duties
Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
& @/ f7 ~5 u3 G, BProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
$ N1 `6 w! H6 f* u- ?Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
- F# ?0 N! m. y% B: ADevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
) N. C5 x, I$ u! X6 m8 u) YDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
Qualifications
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
& `2 A3 b/ ]* d6 k/ XRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
) b7 u5 K9 f' l! n2 x: jMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
1 X- Y: X/ z4 {5 E/ S% `6 YExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
7 E1 z2 e  v( |7 j, \: v, [Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
