The road test will run the full time unless the Examiner feels that your safety, or the safety of others, is at risk.. C+ ~, V& q+ J( o. l

the test may be stopped.

· The Examiner will introduce him/herself and provide proof of identification, when requested.& o! `1 Y& }0 D% n
· All Driver Examiners are licensed by Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation under the Driver Training7 Y8 B ~3 K' z5 g' g0 M6 Q! R
and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road8 w6 u' q9 }- q% i. j8 `
tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the2 V; q7 W+ V E; D8 R$ t/ Z, H

What do I bring for my road test?

· You must have your Learner’s licence. If you have a temporary licence (non-photo)
: g5 s7 Y+ h4 Othen you must also provide acceptable photo ID./ o9 R: U4 g2 [) `
· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the5 S. V* `8 d' s& y2 n
weather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk)., B$ b( G# X/ i
· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid
% f( q' E1 \1 f4 q" Yinsurance and registration) and have enough fuel for at least one hour of driving.6 ^" D5 k- y! M7 f B/ m
· Payment for the test must be made directly to the Examiner or Registry office.

; |# s) R! ~) I8 a! B$ vdemonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield

While Driving …

· You will be given ample instruction in advance for each manoeuvre and activity.
: e+ z+ l5 l6 J9 L+ H) S$ ?· Points will be assigned for errors. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 points to pass the road test.4 W) J, O1 F; K# |, J& T
You must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not! R3 h/ D4 j! p/ q+ x" i
stopping at a stop sign).2 O" [* w; ]) g+ l
· The Examiner will not try to trick you.

· When the road test is finished, the Examiner will highlight the areas you performed well, as well as

What do I do when I pass my road test?/ u5 a4 ?' I$ @; \
' W p% y: F a3 J EThe Examiner will give you a copy of the Driver Examination Checklist form. You will also be given a copy of the
! X! _8 \% }/ K; Z0 `! `: E# o: X2 FTest Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any
! J$ q X) \2 n7 D* c) O" R" E3 L" QAlberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this# c% t( N, ?8 B* j+ l D5 x! W
