Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.: ~6 n6 [& |( T- s5 r( N7 M! M
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker" ^& k9 C7 m5 p
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team5 K1 X5 V2 U8 e b! w8 ~. G

Qualifications:
% W$ G) C5 h2 v: ~4 u6 D/ M4 {* @- post secondary diploma
' q) X7 q& E* a: X$ ?+ a& M% p- customer service and office clerical experiences
8 @6 j! b3 w* Q/ J8 D- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community# i2 ^' i* b9 [" F+ Q( ?
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 g2 E, w8 q# z5 S- ]6 t
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services* f7 n. w& B8 l
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
D3 E6 Z, y$ _) C8 Z( Y- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& X9 b9 N/ L- \" ^& M- update ASSIST website
% O& C( j* |0 F5 c! l2 [' Y) P, U2 m- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 r/ Q( z( C) l) G6 Z0 F
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' p c- e9 @4 g9 G" {) B
- assist in writing proposal for ISP5 }: |8 \. k9 S7 L: R; `, D4 y) g. U; g
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
" r; k( c) g6 K( g9 d# M% p- hold regular meetings with ISP team; x H3 \' _, J9 S: O
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications: l/ r( x7 Q1 x
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services# i f9 X6 |( _2 R; _1 s
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset1 F2 e; ^7 y3 w: t# M8 x
