Job Description
5 W/ w2 _/ T* o- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
/ Q1 B' F, O4 q C4 l* n- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
! G6 P: N+ U8 g7 Y6 n- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services" r! B7 X z$ L9 u' {& M
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies6 Y9 }) z8 s% M6 [ v2 H
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
+ x) e: t6 ~0 [. B" C- update ASSIST website
1 B2 h7 w! g* g( D2 h- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre( V) r# `9 ^% J# j1 r& z
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
+ P0 b+ N ?1 j8 X; p9 Z r: ~* u0 X- assist in writing proposal for ISP/ l; I! C- i4 u* x# t3 j
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP& R; k2 O6 g9 i1 x4 w% J% p* T7 p
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
( V0 c+ f2 A5 u) o- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications4 |2 R& O! ?$ u0 h r3 l) X* L
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education , }' }+ \/ \6 B; X
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 ^# |: L+ k0 z& W3 a6 k
- experience in community work and immigrant services2 ]- Y0 a. h( `) B7 r/ e# a6 `
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset4 i. I- U& K( L' l# c% b z
