Description:
" _$ c8 F- m! A* \& L ~5 _This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for) }% H# G6 Z/ ]$ A% g" V# \7 f
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

& P2 L9 r3 t: K/ T- o1 VTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
2 Z5 U: m+ E; h8 ~" D2 ^3 x {of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different6 i# j/ G: H( i) o) p, r
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.+ p3 t2 j; c! D" f# n; |& l- [: |, j
3 H% d" w: o6 B) u$ C, D; F3 hCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
