University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of

technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
M- f/ a) [6 M/ p2 gstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness9 Q7 a9 I+ x4 K" P/ \ C
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
. t; y7 s! G* s. a- Z- l, p# y8 Kobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
/ s6 H! F) a+ y' arelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
$ N7 l# h# K D# n) d( Ffrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is9 k4 H6 n+ S; u* d `( a; ]
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
% }) f3 N+ w( C0 h# u, icloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein; A5 V' X1 \( g, \" w1 [
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
6 P5 C2 J* F$ l* {8 u3 Qis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with$ y4 W' V( z- r8 R
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
% _& v% S2 h- maccurate and complete research records. 3 E- G5 |& c. M8 \6 Q0 f {

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
4 J- o* x3 \( N: l) y. a9 |2 J/ F; Y# [funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
. R1 l! r5 e6 x4 Zsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
