strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will# i7 b$ O X( {
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a4 v9 m' s8 W) S+ S7 V6 S7 h
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification- e) m3 U3 f V3 }. Q8 G
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
' a7 z: c7 j t1 l$ }+ ~$ ~+ @) trequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA/ p9 u( C0 f5 t2 s+ W: I
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein( u$ j! L7 I8 X5 e9 M8 X: T
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
! x) x; p$ Y9 T, u- c0 k1 z9 A1 ^is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with" o ~+ A6 v1 k6 ~2 K0 b
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
$ G' K7 e* ~7 R7 _- R3 ~funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
6 s1 X/ I+ M/ E; O6 y6 Fsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on( Z' s) o# J, A3 q8 F
