ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
& L$ u9 f' \! Lrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
& m4 c, }( t% v- Z& M# ^technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
( W! o& T& m7 M7 f! Tto apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
' a7 z: c7 j  t1 l$ }+ ~$ ~+ @) trequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
! x) x; p$ Y9 T, u- c0 k1 z9 A1 ^is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
: _0 i/ @: g6 a* `" zaccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
$ G' K7 e* ~7 R7 _- R3 ~funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
6 s1 X/ I+ M/ E; O6 y6 Fsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
