Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
! i7 q# C; i7 J; ~2 G7 a' dobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a2 q3 u" b+ ]* u0 \
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification/ E+ o7 q1 q5 x
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is7 }, g x6 X4 q. [
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA9 ~, e4 E+ H. x5 a1 t3 ?
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
( i9 @+ y# T1 @ D3 Z! cover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
9 z8 f4 n U6 t" R* ris a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
) j4 f5 r6 o* D; F5 [the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
% o' j* E! |% L0 oaccurate and complete research records. 9 D' [& B n7 i/ Y

This position is conditional to a successful application of external) E D9 X4 }: w5 [7 d. D* r
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated4 b( S- W4 m0 |+ R
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
