ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
3 v" K# A1 Q2 `5 |  O: C' kstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

3 x5 ^9 d# J* c0 k! F7 qQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
6 N, t$ K( f4 a6 A( o/ Nrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
! J2 d( k- J7 S* {over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
( {: j: ~- e& B8 ~8 Mthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
  _: \% r! p* o1 g2 p0 naccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
