• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 7 |) \4 ^$ l- w0 x) Q& H
• 4 eggs, well beaten7 G; P- h9 r) w2 C3 X

Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
: N7 ^) w$ x/ H# Y" o" mTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 1 V5 Y6 q r6 l
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.+ t" ~$ F! n5 N

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe. z) N+ ]0 D) V2 e
