• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)

Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. + a7 B: A+ V, d2 s+ G; e6 [
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
J, Q7 z c& S' s: pBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

8 ?& A$ i' P, HI normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
