烤蛋糕

• 1/2 cup butter
. C% h3 u' b9 I; m6 e, @/ A( P• 1 cup sugar 2 E4 k5 E" x" ~' j0 A+ N- U/ K
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)
. v0 y% U9 Q2 r& u• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour or all purpose flour (former is better)
/ S8 P* t) x/ P0 S; Y+ j! x% v• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
! V& ]$ b, ?& a: t$ U• 4 eggs, well beaten N/ D$ s8 ?& H- g2 H

PREPARATION:
6 @. }8 `- L; [$ BBeat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
' L# A7 ]$ `3 a8 v. j" }! RTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
2 M4 e# y( O. M& z X- X7 x2 e |" kBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

这是yellow cake,我最喜欢的,又简单。ingredients 我一般比较严格执行,否则变味,但是我通常要把糖的用量减至3/4到2/3,洋人用糖量太大,太甜了。但如果你认为cake mix的甜度适合你的口味,就用上述的量。

检查是否烤熟的办法: 用牙签插一下cake中间,若没有什么粘在牙签上就熟了。 |
