First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year( j6 c* n& M& V- a0 V, Y
' [2 s% u2 X e9 |, b! Y6 I, L" AThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
9 @0 \$ S b5 N, I% N) Y of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the0 p& c o. K+ ~- F+ ?5 x0 w8 L E
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
/ `% U# y( j9 V# ?, t$ x+ X* L cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and' u) j: k7 Z: a
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
' h7 n7 P+ m9 O this broad land.
* i4 @: T2 h, `5 p% S K3 t. n
$ {& h+ x7 G3 V' l4 nWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
; {& m0 N+ K! P4 I- C! x: Y2 {" O contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
r* O' R' u% V! b, y! J; r0 Y talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
! z9 R8 V! B0 l2 b# V! W6 y* M+ s performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
8 s( w8 `9 e5 S3 M! S$ J. Q ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
; S1 e7 s2 k5 V m5 C, H! k Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
& C! z0 \8 e' I% C4 N# t lot of fun, like what we did before.2 G% b, @% }) N) s* X

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs' I( \8 ~0 D" w. O7 P
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),+ j7 p! ^7 [# b: e
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any* K- w3 V0 i( h( R, u1 j7 o6 }
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
# D8 o7 M0 \( M* W program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up0 E! l; t2 G7 m- s5 q
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since9 q, V& e$ [& u' d
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.: P7 S8 X: a4 X0 H6 ]# z

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
/ t3 N+ W9 U k2 R* c& O% i' D% m7 U on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system/ P( u2 F8 s# c
control.
