M9 RPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community, V4 m' q% j4 Q6 @. E$ }: o9 e7 ~+ }$ c. n
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
8 N. }' Q$ |+ U+ n" P& M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

- prepare and send AGM information to members
7 D9 `3 I% r0 \ K0 w- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.

- update ASSIST website

- assist in writing proposal for ISP% }5 W+ q5 V. Z/ f. A6 T
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

: J' p- w! h( T$ Y6 Q3 t( D Z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services
. K( l$ I9 R- A/ d2 i+ V7 X$ _- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
