• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities# m) S, B% I/ c0 \8 ~
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

$ Y) c9 A" V1 y• identify community and user needs and trends
# b6 M5 I3 s+ ^ \: b9 W1 R) w: u• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required9 j; a- d8 i3 Z; f
• build on knowledge of community resources in program development
) [4 ]3 p8 U* J H0 c6 t& a• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

5 E( i- a3 e# g7 f+ B4 \0 P• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
' f- n" L( g' {9 Z$ i• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups7 A5 v5 {( R" |/ @
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
" ?' K: Z; E* V( G- ]/ O, B! o• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff* c/ j* J! v' M

Qualifications6 E6 h% S$ ]) P. S: ]# X4 \
- University degree in a related field; ; l- C+ E1 W* q
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;) H3 `& l3 ?+ D' j2 z
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
) l' v* _6 {% o1 K( D" D' M) X3 F- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits : e, N8 y3 l1 ~6 o, N( N2 W6 [
