Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators: ^. w r1 }1 Q5 B" P4 Y5 k x1 R. Q
• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services l+ y1 r, y O
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities3 [$ G; {+ I1 c, t1 x, J
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

External Relations
5 f! H) }9 O+ l# Q5 t• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities& f9 L! O# E4 [2 a$ q2 n: ]) W
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
" s: m2 i$ B, X. O• communicate the value of the organization to the public5 @9 |; L E6 N; Y/ G6 b; C9 k& [
• identify community needs and trends9 }& _+ `! W5 P% u# o
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
- z% R+ q% \/ h, ` g- Y( _• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
6 \ `& I% e. t% g7 s% o {4 g* h3 z• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.$ w) S3 L$ ?) n% h, L! d
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
9 z, \) j N& i6 R* W9 ]! }- University degree in a related field;
) }* a8 j! g, W9 ^/ Q- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;. ]7 j2 b6 A3 M4 E; E, |% j- g
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
& ]! y5 }) n: s1 P* N- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 8 H8 f. f. E# X# E7 {! S: z: T% O
$ r d4 _ a4 s9 r
Salary
0 H5 [" H* o+ r3 a- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
