Senior Agency/Program Manager

• reports directly to the Board of Directors

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
8 a; C2 w9 H4 c! k• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
2 r8 O4 U& s, v% P9 l3 w. W5 [3 ]• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
4 u2 X7 Q6 {8 \# X• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders8 U7 u0 B# H7 D
• set program priorities and directions
$ c2 n8 W8 H5 s" P+ v& x• identify community and user needs and trends

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• build on knowledge of community resources in program development
9 h% s9 o1 o5 L• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities6 i8 h! B' A8 x% x& J
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders& e. N" `. X$ G2 k: ?
• communicate the value of the organization to the public1 k: B1 I9 V$ ^" a# Q) @7 ^+ w5 K# ^% K' e
• identify community needs and trends
# X' P# l; Z% p) ~0 V$ |% `! P• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups- U0 o7 z y( G7 W" |
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups6 N8 U8 U3 q8 V. ]
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications
# U! E' E# K2 w0 }" r7 j g- University degree in a related field;
6 r0 C9 G% o0 @# {) v. Q- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
! y, d" W; a: Y% R* P8 k! z- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; % @8 [9 d5 R6 n8 h B
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
