Staff

• meet with staff on regular basis

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

External Relations/ o) N# s% o y$ d& g3 [
• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities. N) G+ `: D! }1 G
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
+ j- e9 U4 N6 z M: J( k• communicate the value of the organization to the public
$ l: i1 R4 ~/ G• identify community needs and trends/ ]( x- ^8 `, _1 K+ L- N
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups; Y, ~8 J' [- U' W
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
7 R1 m: d# i. A: g4 T• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field;
# [6 w" V: I; {2 r" ~- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;3 A( e6 c K6 d) L3 S1 H
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
/ E0 j' F& f: l% F+ b! p2 I, b+ E- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
/ J2 s2 n( J n( ^& S
- J5 Z3 b) S. }& s/ m USalary" u/ N4 z2 F: `8 N' |2 H* ^5 I/ f
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
