Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
7 V; }) i: `7 m% V2 W) L•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
- C2 R+ X% _# Z; b2 K% y•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
/ z4 ^( o( @6 ^8 D. j0 M, J•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency

* C& \( {' U& P* ?+ T& f* q8 o•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff
  F' |- r$ X, h" F9 p# L. j/ H•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
( h0 U( k; o8 W1 M! b6 U•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
/ B" A. n; I% x. b  V  U•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
% i/ m/ p0 o, m0 Z$ m9 m4 ]7 v* S•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth' N2 u7 i2 ?: v, x4 r; Z
•        meet with staff on regular basis- u; h1 v, O" M& n( c
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
8 a; C2 w9 H4 c! k•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
2 r8 O4 U& s, v% P9 l3 w. W5 [3 ]•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
4 u2 X7 Q6 {8 \# X•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders8 U7 u0 B# H7 D
•        set program priorities and directions
$ c2 n8 W8 H5 s" P+ v& x•        identify community and user needs and trends
1 t  F, w! [6 |# W0 P2 X' f. G•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends# I% _6 p; Z7 d8 D) P0 F5 H) r
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
! o8 E, i& l7 g) ~/ X5 @•        maintenance of appropriate reporting2 q: B2 Z; N% ^$ A% ?# ~1 x( b! [
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required8 `( x5 f9 q8 r
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
9 h% s9 o1 o5 L•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

; s; r2 C& \- B$ T- d# gExternal Relations/ h, E/ ^9 A: q" G
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities6 i8 h! B' A8 x% x& J
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders& e. N" `. X$ G2 k: ?
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public1 k: B1 I9 V$ ^" a# Q) @7 ^+ w5 K# ^% K' e
•        identify community needs and trends
# X' P# l; Z% p) ~0 V$ |% `! P•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups- U0 o7 z  y( G7 W" |
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups6 N8 U8 U3 q8 V. ]
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
: T. N( S6 S2 T5 a9 a•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
# U! E' E# K2 w0 }" r7 j  g-        University degree in a related field;
6 r0 C9 G% o0 @# {) v. Q-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
! y, d" W; a: Y% R* P8 k! z-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; % @8 [9 d5 R6 n8 h  B
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
6 W2 O  ?1 n5 K6 y0 V
$ F; p$ }7 u' q+ |! ASalary
% w( M5 B! N; q# n2 m+ y/ ]$ Q& o-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 5 Q+ x# q' L$ p) q) H" c
