5 ]6 [3 P) S* M& f1 J9 ]. |$ S7 |- submit information for community news 5 ^3 i$ q3 v. Q3 C+ l' Y
- provide volunteers to update membership database( }1 ? p+ x/ T5 A5 y y
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
4 L, n/ q3 p' p& H: K- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
% z E' D+ O" i- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties, J! q% i, T) b# z+ K& K+ U# t
- provide volunteers for various programs
& i' T: Z, P; [2 f2 u- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual, V; E; O1 V7 X+ P
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
, E! H3 q6 T+ o5 z% h! K# u, n) t8 i- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities* J0 v9 z# q7 Z- u% ?7 x( T7 {: t& ]% c
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services5 e$ N2 C K% p, V
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
& e) G' e! g2 n/ G! z- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
( J- @2 E/ `; L4 M) T- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
5 y! Z% o7 d* M8 S- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
7 O, y# Z1 p+ \& C- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
# V% p) {) L; a; G# f- development and distribution of a volunteer manual & l9 v9 {- o3 h& S/ [2 d
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
) P7 M9 L2 k0 M$ P) b- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
- S/ Y6 D/ c7 \. l- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
- o8 |; H- D/ G' z5 S- evaluations 6 o) g, C+ P7 ^' j
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre' E/ w2 i0 Y2 T a* c

Qualifications4 ` U) z$ r; o. t4 w
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education" T0 l$ p8 J" P- l) g
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 H; _$ |3 ~, G- e4 i* k) G" |- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
2 U k- A, n- ^- leadership skills
* W* A; ~1 R2 \- management and supervision skills
/ G; p2 B5 c7 d- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
