.....(nothing from then)

  M  s! v0 T0 NI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:
' k# I; X; b" u% E2 w
"We have requested background information from other government
( |' r( l0 h/ R3 g+ o+ uoffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
of your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
$ M$ \6 ~7 s- _2 W: _! R8 Tthe status of your application before this information is received."

, C4 E. J# w- v+ V; \Does this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
