+ z$ }1 j O8 a3 W$ M3 e0 P! `2 DToronto's S&P/TSX composite index was ahead 111.84 points to 12,960.54 after jumping almost 400 points -- still in positive territory for the year after a 200.06-point slide Thursday wiped out the TSX's gains for the year so far.

The Fed did not change its target for the more important federal funds rate, which has remained at 5.25 per cent for more than a year.
