TEMPORARY CREATION ASSISTANTS

4 R" {) e" n+ a- r! x+ w  6-8 Week Term, August - mid September 20073 S: x  C- Z2 n; `  e

/ O! M; R5 F3 G0 \4 A& JJOB SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager- $ L/ ^: W, b- b+ j5 \
SU Print Centre and Operations Manager-Production & Technical  
2 v7 S" ], M& Y6 XSupport, these positions are responsible for assisting in all aspects  * r; j8 P- V& \3 h/ W
of Course Pack production.
( v3 y, \  f; r1 F4 @# r+ o' j, g- y8 }2 b$ t2 g9 n1 W
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1 A* N. }* r/ V3 @+ Y; {7 j- v
1) To assist in the creation of course packs, including the scanning  
  ~* |; G% ?9 ]7 ?* v% O; ]" iof paper files, editing of digital files, proofing and printing.* ^+ {2 M9 h8 P( `9 ^, d
( `9 f9 X! o* o! j' s# ~
2) To develop a good working knowledge of print equipment, including  
% x! G. h3 T- g# c% zprint queue, paper loading, toner and technical troubleshooting.
, w# n3 U/ g8 N# t) q  R
1 ?' p! ^/ X, L1 U3) To assist with all aspects of bindery, packing and shipping of  
- Q4 f0 ?* N. e6 pcourse packs. This includes following operational procedures and  5 n9 \1 `8 K7 a- }% g/ A
keeping appropriate and accurate records.

; u9 N: l  P) p4) To communicate stock needs and printing and bindery equipment  
! s" Y$ r2 j3 [% N5 T% L- jfailures to the Operations Manager.

. Y9 |& o# \/ x6 v* ~" o# z- G5) To develop a working knowledge of Access Copyright requirements,  
' Y  X: p1 P( E3 k" W: f, R3 Iand adhere to regulations as appropriate.7 @0 }4 B( A/ d9 s8 Z$ }

- q! P8 F* J! L4 u' ~& A6) To contribute positively to a cooperative working environment.

1 |0 t  W  |3 k# A, p1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.& C4 K" I/ U2 n) j
2) Attention to details. Excellent organizational and communication  4 S) G4 P/ |* H/ g
skills.+ I5 H1 y" B% Q. z
: W: O3 X+ b2 f4 V3 g( V) V! U
3) A good working knowledge of Windows would be helpful.; h# p! F8 t, d3 z7 o

+ t' S; x8 _; c' A& o1 s) A& D4) An aptitude for technical problem determination and resolution.& X/ O( ?& w( ^. q# f0 u4 G

5) Ability to work in high stress environment.; H' h8 _  T( \+ M  {

6) Experience in print industry an asset but not necessary.3 h1 J: n8 f  M5 n% w
