# A8 m6 {% \) _! G) pBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
- t' a+ I2 B. c. [work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft( G4 b: {4 a! f6 ^7 N
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
: r( Z5 Y P, H2 Y( n* sChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
2 M V) B- \8 x2 ?artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
) i/ \7 c$ L/ [+ S2 @/ VEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for! n8 R! J3 Y7 f8 w+ K* n. P% }
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the9 I$ A7 l+ o; D* v4 T7 {# k
recyclables.
d# U% G& Q# z# r7 _Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
/ B p* F1 I- A/ epart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
. o3 g& Y) i4 H' pHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
( D& M# J' ?* @2 C0 Ythem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
* K0 `/ J* M1 |% W4 s0 N# x3 O! Q' ghours are part of this crew’s duties.- d( t" b) D; J% y
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the6 ?) S4 b* x5 x* ^3 H9 G
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide K2 Q z% q% x
programs to visitors to the festival.
B+ N' f9 S* P5 M! `- hKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
3 K/ H5 I$ p/ E$ v% m9 \everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.: a& V2 h9 w+ G# U% n G
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed3 R3 L) p6 l7 o; [0 _* L0 y9 }# ~2 c
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the! d& R0 s) k2 O/ H/ @( B0 ?9 v
festival.4 \" t4 M6 v _" B3 r
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is& r: @ }) N& Q) a7 V2 r$ s
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ u4 e) Z) m- j4 f/ a$ E& K* E) e
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
; @6 t% R7 R1 g# U& `: L+ eStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
8 O# \; o, A6 {and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
4 y1 z W( ^7 U6 Q* Y7 oTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be& O' P! A# t) \' k
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as; N: `6 B# I3 L9 A* I0 e
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival" x, g, h% S4 }3 g Z% O: y2 U
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
