* @4 D& }% B' T% Z% wBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
: u$ A; M- z7 N1 d! Z* Hwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft6 L: G% A7 m' Z. l. y/ N# V
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
. S# x/ Q0 ^: I+ @4 E) rChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the7 U2 ^ w2 W" `1 u6 q# M w4 v. p
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.5 W f# S$ I$ t) b4 C. |5 g" q
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
. I O' K' }; `8 dvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
8 M2 c$ o# m! S$ A9 y. Orecyclables.7 i2 w2 O9 ]5 c- [
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be: K; o- U. E+ N$ O
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
! ~3 P0 {) r: \! r7 M I9 M1 C; MHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
' u& Y" N/ A" R7 P n2 g/ n6 ^them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late" Y [! Z0 X! |3 C; @
hours are part of this crew’s duties.9 s, m. a" L( |8 `
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
9 |4 C- ~0 Z' n& G! ?; h3 gfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide, K( a$ I. f# _' {3 M% n# [
programs to visitors to the festival./ r, |. U' d* @: x8 ~
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
' J: X* k4 s2 A* Q. ~everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
+ k5 D8 {, c$ V( k, iOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed% f. O0 O0 S' c+ u6 E" y
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
0 L* ^ t) b" A8 s' N8 Hfestival.
5 j0 w. H4 g' R; [Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is: Y% d H) A" a
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you; K6 s: G9 l3 p7 m
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.+ L. H7 j# T `8 J% Y: f
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
4 u# x0 D4 N$ E( D! Land/or understanding of back stage procedures.$ b0 @4 [: M& R6 [1 q. E' ]
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be0 j$ @: ]- K+ |; m# E
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
6 j ~: i/ R E0 Q; t; Gairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival+ m$ R4 Z c) K0 l* C, \& Q4 d
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
