The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
9 S4 U3 k# L- I2 Q8 r& rAssociation (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at
SUB
theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

: n8 l( F5 @$ ^instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
the
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
0 S( ^! \8 {; C4 p/ lAchievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

1 `5 U' Q) U7 Tperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
5 S) U7 L7 x  x0 m: {2 `' |songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
& E; t& s- @, e7 c# Bcrowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
7 F! C1 t9 A. C3 z" z$ e- j( IHong Kong
