the Students' Union and oversees all electoral logistics as per Bylaw

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 20000 b% c$ R, q) F ?) Z
, k" O6 F3 k0 i6 q; l' t. P/ F/ C2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.: B; n3 R; T: J- ?# q' I' g7 g5 e
! t- _% W: S3 \3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.! X& `) B: g$ U! [ `
: j5 \6 N' N5 T" G5 K) r4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing
, g6 y) u. \5 o( |0 R' D& wadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/ + y" q' l( p0 p6 C' ]' |1 \
referenda.

referendum.

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a
: _* e2 b0 a7 g0 wminimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday, , s- w+ z' k# ?
from the first working day after nominations close until the last day ; u# B% U3 ]# m! D {* O# g' P9 y
of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.

% K" r* ^( D. I4 ?11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during % K+ s9 @6 ~7 b4 M0 T$ _7 D) v
the course of an election/referendum.

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting
& h6 C6 s2 J# t7 @2 Dprocess is in place.

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report # u+ v9 q, W n8 w
of activities and recommendations.

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week / H5 T5 L, s5 a$ v8 h% {% W

15) Perform other job related duties as required by the Council ! Q% u, v7 }8 b4 G! v) L

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
( l/ t ^ O# ifor each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students' 2 n3 T" J0 Q2 D! n( S" ]3 z, w
Union member.

, A8 r) i4 Y/ V; Q1 m; M& @+ _2) Must have some experience in student elections.& _! U, q+ f+ i) U ^

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or - m- E8 W5 c7 R B& g: N: ?; \% c
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position

5) Excellent project management skills are required.
