ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Salary: $12.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

0 B7 l$ h6 p2 \2 f9 R. ^The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

; [& i+ I- e0 j3 Z+ B, s4 W5 _1 M1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
8 T# ]. u1 g9 d3 M2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
6 I7 o/ t4 d3 y; j( Z" j% i3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
