% w" N0 A1 \5 ]2 q/ j# x+ rJOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the - F" W1 @/ d# x. p4 z
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the 8 f8 `: _& p3 C4 V: [) M* S; `, U, s
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, 1 d; v7 S( G' K( p0 B4 ]
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:! `+ L* f: e8 B, L n5 A- D
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and : x! ~2 q6 \* R5 a# g- \
beverage items.
; r; N7 H* g2 J1 T S- Z9 j) v$ g/ v) r3 W) t1 h
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the ; o6 P( x( c& \) P/ i: u' n
bar and debit floats.
5 w5 @9 v6 H+ v0 x+ _4 u' c( C; H3 [& y9 t3 C( |
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of ; ^' |$ h+ Y/ u+ x
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular " W, U9 l! J6 h+ m) S/ O0 m
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
( b7 e: E: l5 B( m4 N( kseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
) s5 F+ u: t0 @6 b7 `$ b% L1 Z0 o4 j* e
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in ! f- B$ p" F4 D
storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol 6 M* J! `( T0 x
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

; e4 y' `- h% F- w) S' t9 R6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close
" E5 J8 t. t5 ^monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a
; |% x$ c. c' a; P( Zhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in 6 ?% n: L( `1 F' |
accordance with Students' Union policies./ g) I/ q' N4 K- B4 P2 j0 V- q

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a
4 _( k$ y& Q3 X2 bhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

QUALIFICATIONS:5 j$ D7 Q( F" Z1 C/ i4 U' C0 E
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.2 o, R2 Y: U M% B- a( v3 S+ A
) _5 Y. O4 P; p8 h i2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 4 A! q, k; m/ @* r
operation.4 N1 I R2 P; F- {# j( y$ ` T$ q
. B6 d& c6 l8 C* x4 h# i. J2 v2 C3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in
) ?' a, X" I J7 O# maccordance with Students' Union policy.( H2 K* m/ a; H- ^! {+ X
- ?2 Y; m% A/ x7 i, z4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.) F% c# J1 K! S5 X# C8 a
