JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
* v* t4 G: I5 H6 ~) Z/ [; X; dprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

" \! t9 p  V1 @8 f$ LDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Q* @( |! Q3 e) L" J0 R1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
3 U+ m' k% C% M1 b' S3 d  K. G" Abeverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
8 N. L* {: ^$ A: J9 [bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
' }8 [" D' ]# w1 A$ Beach shift, and upon closing.

' o' h5 ]9 L) I4 q! v4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
( s! B6 }2 k1 K' z  w' ^seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
+ f% {! H: m2 n9 |/ wstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

" c5 K) r0 G% {0 n! c# C3 S6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
# A* o2 h* K# j0 s% e( _! ^0 C( qhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
, V/ ]% M( T3 |- naccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
" r6 V$ D6 g, o, z" c To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

; V$ Z* ^) m7 ~QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
+ R9 O; B4 ?! t* m1 G8 A  J2 K, A
& b, j" x% c# n/ l" ?' B: Y2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
3 b: n  n3 B( O% G8 M& i( roperation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
- x1 h3 T3 p; e4 T0 V& {accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

) B- n( ?: d$ |0 g& x5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
