11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
  a; B3 m: O2 L' N/ `: M+ e0 V* NBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
6 s' X- S5 `- O  m. `1 i8 a: B7 ]) Scarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
0 w+ X8 u+ f$ @# a  W& Y; e- Ncustomer service and room cleanliness.

% P6 g3 g& d8 e2 c5 y
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
) J5 M  G7 b. i1 m. g7 I1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

& F5 x) a, w8 t  [2 X6 Y  \2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
' t6 l- T1 p5 e6 l+ K+ Mhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

6 c$ Q) B/ Y& |3 {1 ^3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
- Q0 j( M5 w5 Htotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

  c& {9 T# c8 R* k1 S4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
# H5 ~* U# i0 e" d- iincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
# h0 b$ Y) b/ k" D# J* g# ?( A# a
5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
6 X" G, A2 ?. R1 J! Z8 }intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
) Y2 b3 B. X% y( q9 x; j* RAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

$ l  N/ H9 S9 ]5 L( v0 C3 v8 k* T7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

" w4 p- J0 o# s/ M# gQUALIFICATIONS;
8 c" T, r" m$ L! V" n. X9 t1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

! n$ d4 ~$ B7 P& k2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
" ?0 n) J& b# Ioperation.

6 j- H6 ?6 p4 F, V3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

' H, p, e9 g9 i$ p! n) N4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
% w, o) r% ~9 E! pcard transactions.
% s% O5 \' w: W% c. e0 N, c
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

( V* u8 T& x- I' F4 {Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
