# x4 j( k6 c2 W( N! Z0 AJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

+ W2 H7 b( t& c5 q; q! N5 u: XDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
& [7 U1 H" [/ Q% V1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
9 a: \& A$ ^: v  M) uorders.

' G3 F1 N4 v! A0 _4 K1 r( W* [! {2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
& i, I. b( `! o: `0 [high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
+ ~. O0 x: k3 I8 }2 i  r8 utotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

2 Q  f- [# n: J0 `# z4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
; ?/ h* r3 A7 N# Lincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

* ]0 D( t2 R: u+ u# r5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
3 D1 D3 d+ }4 b( d2 I3 q- {' g4 faction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
4 r, U* T0 [- J* M( y- |/ I+ Lintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
5 r" u0 m! V. h: o6 {: ?2 h$ L6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

( h% T  l4 q6 ?( ]QUALIFICATIONS;
; d: K- K3 @# }5 U$ s. Q: V1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
" {' f7 {% |1 k4 f
) N/ ?" |! E7 r" B3 R3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
- ^/ v; Z! b$ x; W" u  e( ^policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
( J; F- ]$ B* ]' T, E' i
& W& p3 h$ T3 {# Z# ]5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
- I9 Y6 q5 |" qprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
