Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
4 c9 l/ `: f. q' V2 y2 \9 h8 K- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
; H; F5 X. _$ zthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the5 G8 e R7 \ B
school year starts.

. t# n" |9 B8 _# K7 r+ r" QDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
& a; W7 `- ?' JCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus9 }, Q1 R9 H9 |% o( K; T% b' x
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,4 ~5 X" m& `' G* c- ]
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
+ G/ y2 @) O% kparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and# c$ X! L0 t6 E5 O- Y
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during( W0 o8 S5 A+ Y) ~) h! ]. Q
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
2 L6 V$ P* w( j# r( l$ \assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
3 N6 Z+ C; d$ ?6 Yvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
. u: R6 U' P! Poutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
; T0 m4 {! \1 ~# y6 c! Eexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
4 t% V8 v! [, m# o/ I. Texcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
. z7 F- J/ H) b, nfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents2 K& B5 j0 A H' J; i7 u
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
9 c7 K$ m' s8 J) `3 npresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. & P5 s0 d% a9 L# `

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in5 B0 x4 B! Y6 Z% U
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate+ p+ ?7 m0 x- `
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,9 C4 O6 z+ l+ d3 y% }# C
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake9 b- k" o. R l, T" x& z, h
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those1 S) b, Q' @0 l! E- K1 l
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
! K5 Y; c# _; e& f: dskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,0 Y2 M$ p$ Q/ E% p
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,# Z* Y8 _0 R' t2 s _
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
