currently recruiting for the position of Summer Program Assistant - Job

8 V( O7 L$ }  ?: AHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
0 v, l. n0 k  m  S& a( D- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
0 I- g) w" D. o' C' Yschool year starts.

. c0 l) E* Y9 E5 NDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
5 k  @: v  U1 l' @) q/ j9 QCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
  u" L- \* L7 h; Fvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
! o) d8 b* g6 u2 I+ Wtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
7 I* H  E' e6 \* ]  b* ?excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
" u# {7 [/ D3 O, ~* M; ^excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
2 H2 P( ^$ `# ofunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
5 l( a5 V2 d1 D. O/ v2 apresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
9 K4 y9 f' O8 V9 \: sCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
& N: t0 ^8 ]/ K5 ta variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
) C% }; n! l, m" K8 Jof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
) d, D- q. X  AExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
! c4 o. G* L! }8 r/ z& iexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
