The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.  

& `; j2 v6 _- CSalary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

8 v7 T9 p! [$ S+ b8 `" f8 N, FDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
8 p1 X" N9 \# B, _' Q4 |! `3 L. A4 `include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

; W3 m3 d; L0 w: G9 EQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
. o  _5 K# p% D, A2 Canalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
# y9 P4 N! g! c  Tseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
