Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

7 Y6 o7 J. X7 L& uDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
) H, @: d  m; G% }& i8 L6 ufor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
' R3 S$ x4 S, L/ ginclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
* [* _& |# f8 F8 D1 k9 E5 ~- Rcompounds by chromatography.

$ C' g3 W% H! ?5 e$ HQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
$ ~2 N: j! Z- l+ T  j; G' ^) SChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
; g, |& r* o7 V% Oanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
/ u: b4 ~6 `2 e9 |+ ~  e* kseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
2 J4 r  T; a4 ]) dof a team essential.
  {: v; \0 z. Q- Z% wThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
