+ S5 l: A! o* tSalary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
% _5 u, I5 h4 v9 R
Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
. L1 X/ u+ y+ ]technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
( V' Z* d- `( f& L7 K4 j+ ~" b3 Sfor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.
$ }6 h# M3 ]9 ~4 [( e
! v4 N$ S7 t/ |, a% E2 O+ RQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
2 y9 c" P8 N) t# F0 E; m( |! o1 |separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
