Job Summary:
! B8 N* N3 t: s9 X3 J( H" H( O5 rThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
/ n7 v$ K8 z5 B, lInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials3 q5 X: ~# z9 D/ E: ^( P! i; m
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
0 [2 I% ~2 s, i, ^- vMust be able to work safely at all times' v6 a. d% z, F+ e; ?' s
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently) S# b* H# |. \* V- J) y
Performs routine housekeeping.4 \2 f) L9 S: _" A* s
Observes and reports any safety issues

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

High school diploma (Or GED)
! |" ~4 w6 A' @: ^$ tWell-articulated and assertive
5 C5 ^; ?) @& @1 }0 DAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization' p3 ^# s! ~7 S- l- `
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Mechanically inclined an asset
