Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
, o+ {: B; d- T, z# k7 J9 Vweekend hours.% }. d4 I- ~8 M8 `2 E, O5 e! _
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer; `, R& u& {" b7 }2 S0 @& v
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
' Y8 W5 [& M) R; Rcentre.: a6 P U% I L$ w- m% O
These responsibilities include:# E+ B, O+ i) S% c: u/ |
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
5 ^5 t* f- d1 m' O1 V, J- ~& A9 d# I-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
2 c. ]. h6 Z) @3 x7 K-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and( m1 G" a" h) k' ^1 E2 y; b3 ~
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
. m) H: G+ Y! E# ], ]facilities’ maintenance, etc. + b- t, U! L- w( m7 p
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic : N+ p- j; G+ w8 z$ @8 t. B

Statement of Qualifications

' H8 Q/ ^1 z& p7 l-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
& {. C+ j1 |, W; r- r& _' f6 feducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
9 n4 X. }5 {) jof education, training and /or experience.
/ x1 A9 m. ]) b& s" b! pKnowledge/Technical competencies:" Z7 B( `! S/ d+ H+ H3 o- O
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.+ G, E/ @/ T# I3 o6 v0 X$ V
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word( i1 D- c' r G" N
and Excel. 8 Y- b3 Y- j. w$ L
-Experience using and updating an information database.
