* |! W& s* F! E3 eweekend hours./ j( D: ]6 C& K3 S0 j
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
" v( w- |$ a: c" e9 i' p6 V# m' _lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the! [ u; i& c) U, @
centre.& `6 m3 `8 k$ I
These responsibilities include:
7 p, x0 b1 {+ l8 N9 I$ |-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.. P0 L) X9 U$ \# r, D- l
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.0 c5 |. o& t/ X6 J' q
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and* F* N! X A3 K$ `% C7 a- c
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
, E+ s6 h- U6 p: r( Jfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
. K6 o4 g3 [! ^/ }+ X. B( i0 K4 |-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

, g7 L' k, s: E0 k1 J& x2 B/ e% F-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, . y, G$ F4 D# K7 N& K7 ~$ u' G
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:
. z9 M. ^4 O2 k1 B% _( T1 b-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.& {+ P/ s! h6 l# ]
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word0 V" y& {- @0 m; p! g- B/ r7 R
and Excel. 8 S f& N3 p& }
-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in using MS Access.

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
