Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and. g: V: _/ V1 q7 i2 j. B
weekend hours.
& g1 @3 i6 `) l% f4 Q% zYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
0 L- u+ u0 `1 v' Xlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
. X& B* j6 z; Qcentre.
- x U9 v! H/ `- SThese responsibilities include:1 W# L }! V3 m( ?; Y/ i. R
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.; u# R+ Z5 Y" m8 l* Z, T8 h( N
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.5 h8 Y; f+ p/ y3 m5 W2 }! t i
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and7 Z- T+ e- Z' @ b
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
' K( W! y1 l6 k$ @% K/ Pfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
( h; z$ a! _6 C/ x$ V$ x-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
) D- ]1 x" |6 A4 x/ D5 Xeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination # [: Y" G8 j2 V/ s% n' b S9 N6 \
of education, training and /or experience. - s8 K6 z* H& b# l0 D) T+ {
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
8 M+ M1 V |/ K% r-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system., f$ U- ^! J$ @, w( ^7 ?' n, e) J
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word% }* H2 i7 |, l3 Y! Z; f
and Excel.
7 m4 r- x! m. M5 A+ J: a-Experience using and updating an information database.
0 _' }, g% S+ G9 v/ q( m- O" |! y. z8 {0 p
Assets:
+ ~+ O# q, J7 o-Experience in using MS Access.0 c# _3 h; M, }$ B& U. O
-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.' N. |7 H5 j7 l5 {
-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
