Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
- h( M0 g) E0 @2 Fweekend hours.* T+ m# V, Z! d! G; {4 D
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer6 r4 U. u+ w( r6 f: K* Q
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the/ i* |0 x6 W+ ^ w
centre.+ J' g8 h- U7 g
These responsibilities include:6 G) y1 t2 K3 E" [% S
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
' w' t9 |: S: B+ A-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
* r' @0 s% c9 }/ Q. A5 z-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
8 C4 e) ^5 G3 N- @! ] hrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
- `4 [: Q! K" _% }. g A7 tfacilities’ maintenance, etc. $ ?8 o5 x' v9 _& r7 |0 j
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic - Y+ N$ t! {7 R4 ?: p
clients’ files etc.

! T/ U1 }8 A$ S9 N4 G-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 0 R9 ~: l- I+ S1 q" R
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 4 H# Z: l" r# i5 F1 D* O5 {
of education, training and /or experience.
+ H; {- o- ` R/ WKnowledge/Technical competencies:
) h5 C1 x/ Z; \/ o4 C! m1 O+ j0 Z/ {-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
7 h+ F8 m+ m. w+ R" X-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
& j& D+ z4 R4 u* \and Excel.

Assets:
