Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s

: Y7 L9 B! T5 U* R# N. Z3 kYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer% Y( }3 A4 h9 `- n
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
$ ^3 F) }4 m% {% y* Tcentre.( F. U/ D+ |4 [6 O
These responsibilities include:/ {4 L4 H4 ^& T
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.6 {2 a0 r8 V; @4 w8 M
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.2 D# w& ~/ O/ z! ?& Y8 p) C" ]
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and. o7 I5 z N/ B# O3 A
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
: A/ ^0 }1 |4 r' ^1 z& xfacilities’ maintenance, etc. a" V9 P* e2 T- t, k8 c
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic : }2 Z3 J! Q7 A+ s

Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, - V9 r- I' a. m1 F/ }
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination , r2 M1 O7 R( f2 b: e
of education, training and /or experience. 4 T( I0 F1 B4 I7 f
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
. y. g+ k2 c6 U' i% |-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.$ ?# [. `2 b5 b8 v# x2 g% l% D
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
4 q* @4 X" r* g( J5 T: Gand Excel.
5 Q0 w0 |8 n/ _! H+ y-Experience using and updating an information database. . a+ p& |- [. e6 w( ^1 o

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
