Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

, |) L- w B" ]0 T$ Jweekend hours.; u6 T& c9 O, B( U/ T9 C1 n
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
9 i* ~* P& }7 K& T/ E9 Qlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
- b2 C7 ?! z9 \) b$ I& [5 G: Ccentre.
3 S; y4 L1 p7 R/ b6 V1 OThese responsibilities include:
4 q2 Y, S }7 ]3 d-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC. o" J( ?' G2 S9 H+ Z& S$ D
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
6 }" }+ h7 z% f% ^% \* ?- U-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and' I8 x# V& q5 h/ `# j
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 0 N5 I* X0 D+ v( a8 a6 ~
facilities’ maintenance, etc. ) ^# y I) m4 \8 U
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
; m5 J9 y" }+ U5 @+ lclients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 2 s+ @- G) f5 u8 h
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
: K+ m' }6 ]3 m K1 Q" R2 ]of education, training and /or experience. , a: P# H9 L2 C3 m" T* R
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
% b- h4 g3 A/ }! n' q8 S-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.# m1 T- E! @/ S5 y% r
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word; g+ S9 X$ K0 O9 q1 S
and Excel. % n a, J$ X! l& _9 e; x# ]
-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:

Abilities:

-Ability to operate a computerized system to research information.
