CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

+ @# m) n' C! v( m2 X& b; X9 P· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
. S! A. a9 _$ @- Q0 d5 k
7 p% X2 G' {5 x· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

4 d( `: g9 O( \· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
$ H7 Z/ p1 ]; O" |& f6 I
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

1 |- @' D/ x2 R- _· Operate manual and automatic shifts

2 h5 w) S& Y) H2 t· Secure loads safely

3 E' y% z& [4 h9 T' q& U0 Q& p· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
5 w" {( T  Y' z- `; bQualifications and Training Requirements
3 b; m* Y( j) S1 n7 O
· Minimum 3 years experience

- o. h% L/ F& j3 u) |· Valid Class 1 license

) W2 r5 b! Q! ?· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

/ L, P7 ^& X% p$ K1 d0 @· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

9 D2 m2 q" m) ]% r0 \· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
