Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

8 u; m9 K. y' C8 @& `  \· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

2 d! W4 z6 ]/ d  I& P; T· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
% J" ~( Z: W/ Q3 M; O( ~
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

0 v; ^7 V: l3 O$ T0 S: W· Secure loads safely

Qualifications and Training Requirements

, p0 X1 c! j6 l5 m/ @$ P+ p& D· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
$ ]6 l  F  o3 a5 W8 M
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
2 @; C4 N8 R- _' ]) j/ }+ }
· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
