The two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.) z. ^2 d* c4 S, z' z y. R0 |; C
" T- p* ~, c. @" G! @8 a# v“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge. d# X/ o7 y4 a

Southgate, a 36-year-old mall located south and west of 51st Avenue and 111th Street, now has 130 stores and services. It is owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge, based in Montreal.
