EDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants.# v2 B9 G( J- T5 Y. t9 i- _
7 h+ X: ^# M: K- ~& I# U3 `# F# }, c! {The two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.

- ~7 G5 g: ~7 n0 D“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge.
