* U' Y, N+ Z% S0 O z3 Y/ aAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:- l% P Z! t7 U# V% |# t5 `
* j6 u* e3 F0 d. V: s$ V( ~& u# \
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
6 \2 N4 ~0 ?) W2 E- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
0 f3 v9 a& Z9 l3 h- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. ! E8 F' L0 |, L6 {
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. $ f6 ?: K) s! ~( ]7 e$ D
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
* k3 Q# ~; G0 K3 o- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). + q( C9 Y* O! ]& ?8 Z m
- Managing shift expense budgets. ! E( S1 {/ n8 C9 m) h1 W+ C

Experience and Education Requirements

2 c; ]" }5 u2 A$ K, `) \- Previous supervisory experience
: l" e4 Y6 M2 o6 U0 H. R) v- Strong leadership skills 9 X$ W8 C! }' P! n' c+ C3 h5 A
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma ' O! c) s B8 }8 _! V
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills + W3 D3 [' l1 k/ s
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ! _& O+ R5 ?9 r9 M, e- ]
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.3 B! C+ N# Z) i
