As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:$ F6 W6 A9 A/ y" |4 e
" W) B4 P3 S( b$ t) p2 B& n& Z
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. ; V4 z; X. ?3 x4 D+ ~
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 9 f N: G' i7 Y* m# u
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
) P4 S/ a3 N; l7 g. q# a* z- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
; m& H! B! k9 Q6 i2 @" p1 h1 u- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
$ Q9 d, A4 a; ]- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ; g% s4 @- n' l" _+ m, _
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- H& \/ k7 }0 j6 n( x- Previous supervisory experience

6 y; P, W$ A- M+ G: \+ Z- A minimum of grade 12 diploma & t& W! f+ W% y3 D1 p7 s
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
4 F# `" k' @( v0 a- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
" h9 f/ {' r. A) F. U- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.* Y2 H0 O* V& w) [; w! {
