EDUCATION: HIGH SCHOOL AND/OR POST SECONDARY
LOCATION: EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA
DURATION: CONTRACT OR PERMANENT
SALARY RANGE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience, but overall compensation will be results-based and goal-oriented.

: V% z( d7 c" o" QRESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
• Provide tier 2-3 support for network issues for technologies such as but not limited to:
   o Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003
8 h; Z8 L) F. v- j. k   o Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003
4 z; U5 u8 g- O6 Q+ ~, ^- R   o Microsoft SQL Server 7, 2000
   o Microsoft SMS 2, 2003
   o Microsoft Operations Manager
   o VMWare Virtual Server solutions
   o Linux based operating systems
! ^" k: K: e& v0 K: D$ a% \   o Sun Solaris operating systems
6 A/ A0 D" j; o: w' u- d# n   o Advanced level and hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS, VoIP, and security knowledge and configuration experience
• Provide network solutions and recommendations to customer inquires regarding Anti-Virus, Email & Collaboration, Network Security, Migration Strategy, Disaster Recovery…etc.
) n5 n. Z* K% R! f• Proper and detailed documentation of all support and project related calls
• Administration, architecting, and technical support experience on the Microsoft Windows
: X) ^# d: O% Hplatform, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 – 2003 platform, Citrix Metaframe platform, Microsoft
SMS platform, Microsoft IIS platform, Microsoft DNS and Microsoft Active Directory…etc.
• Advanced Cisco routing and switching and/or firewall configurations

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
1 g& S( s2 A+ N) f* v$ z8 K4 }% h• 5 – 8 years hands-on IT experience
• Excellent written and verbal skills
1 F1 d/ z1 m! S5 P; g- y• Ability to work in a team environment
9 Z. z. I6 {+ k: w• Excellent organization skills with detail AND accuracy
• Excellent documentation skills with detail AND accuracy
• Certification should include some or all of the following:
' `! N3 m! ?+ l; |   o Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
   o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
   o Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional (CCIP)
) u  G/ @9 s% P3 N6 x   o Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
   o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows 2000 or Windows 2003)
   o Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)
   o Any other professional certification designations are a bonus

• Ability to understand and deliver high quality customer service
3 j- U% O6 B! N• Advanced TCP/IP and internetworking protocol knowledge
• Experience in IT operations and an actively contributing team member in project based work
) O1 |0 k$ n, {% y3 O( S; T! r7 z• Advanced technical and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows-based migration projects in 800-1500 seat size of multiple domain, sites, and active directory.
9 k0 u, @2 `2 s  C% ^1 @* E• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, DFS, Windows Security, Virtual Server, SharePoint Server, Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, and 2005
2 t; h* i2 L; I+ J% i( m• Have 4+ years of network design experience
• Have led medium to large sized projects
: x' e( g8 i7 _; Q' b. N6 {• A valid Alberta driver’s license is mandatory
• Clean enhanced criminal record abstract
