Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:
$ R' t# y& ~/ J! O; ]- f"I am going to send it back".
2 x3 Z6 C- G7 Z2 @# ]. M4 R: i3 Y2 `I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
E; O3 S; J: W8 H! |% ^6 z1 V "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" ( o+ h, F, `5 p. z' R& }' S
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
! c7 r' p5 ^. c* U+ T+ x! k0 z"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
1 T- D2 ] U/ \' A5 C"Yes, I did."
7 P% I$ O; g. h3 zFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 1 J4 i- ]" F* ^) r
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
2 ]2 K3 H, u$ A& f) R# V' C"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"
) X3 ]8 ]& n, L+ E"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
8 ~0 w* W0 T5 ~He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
% j( S: ?- b( x. MI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

1 C6 k8 V7 u# u7 W9 H$ S0 r"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"
0 F9 I' Y/ j+ M5 I9 }He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
; q; C1 N1 ~/ f% ~! e& o: {& lMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. " u* L' t2 c( I
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. 2 {9 j) {! F- c
