Over 40,000 Albertans have lost their jobs so far this year in the oil patch alone.

They just voted to give a 7.25% pay raise to senior government officials who already make up to $273,000 a year!( R u$ l9 s5 a
8 r- [9 Y: K1 c! h& M w5 GBut it gets even worse. A group of MLAs just voted to send themselves on an all-expenses-paid luxury junket to Boston, to go to a conference about “ethics”. That conference just happens to be at one of Boston’s most luxurious hotels, the Fairmont Copley Plaza. It’s a three-day junket — and the cheapest rooms at the hotel start at CAD$700 a night. Add in flights and meals, and you’re looking at a $20,000 junket for NDP MLAs, all on the backs of Alberta taxpayers." [9 @7 l: E. T0 t& q
0 B( d0 l, D/ p1 s9 PThe icing on the cake is that this conference has nothing to with Alberta. Most of the subjects being covered apply to the U.S. only — U.S. election laws, U.S. fundraising laws, U.S. Super-PACs, etc. It’s useless to MLAs from Alberta. But hey — all the more time for sight-seeing and shopping!

Albertans thought that by throwing out Jim Prentice and his corrupt PCs, they’d be done with pigs at the trough. No chance. Welcome to the NDPigs.3 F7 q, q b$ {- m8 I

2. Sign our petition, demanding that Notley cancel these raises, and cancel the Boston junket. I know Notley really doesn’t care what Alberta taxpayers think. But if ten or twenty or fifty thousand people tell her she’s wrong, she might just blink — and be less likely to do it again. You can sign our petition here, or by going to www.NDPigs.ca.

$ R. H- M# a6 n3 a: B1 Y3. Finally, I want to prove that what Notley is doing is completely unsupported by Albertans. And to prove it, I need to commission a professional, independent opinion poll of Albertans, to show that it’s not just her partisan opponents who are shocked by her conduct. It’s everyone — severely normal Albertans, including plenty of people who voted for her in May, and are now having second thoughts. 6 _5 F( k8 }; N( `( z

That opinion poll will cost about $1,500. Look, if we don’t fund this poll, it’s pretty unlikely the mainstream media in Alberta will. They’ve become cheerleaders for Notley.: ]8 \) [% D9 Q6 r2 I" Y @6 F9 ~7 Y9 p

I always knew the NDP would be bad for the province economically. But even I am shocked with how they have taken to the trough, as bad as any PC ever did.6 X0 W6 ~+ @$ e
