Question about HLAT

Do some parent know about this test for elementary school students? Normally, I just check the kid's progress report on schoolzone and never notice this test before.

9 C. C6 G) p" _, @I am wondering the difference between HLAT results and school progress report, since my kid has some kind of big different performance on these two.

The HLAT (higher level achievement test) is a standarized test issued by the government/education department. Unlike schoolzone reports, which are given by that teacher, the test will be the same regardless of the school. It is kind of similar to PATs, which are a measure of students across the entire province, so you can get a better idea of where your child stands academically. Since some teachers may be easier or harder on their students, I would think HLATs would be the "more accurate" one of the two measures.
