EDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.

% k1 N' N. n1 GThe item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.' x! [9 z6 b1 V1 q+ R
8 {/ m, } J [& ^Police evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.* r; q" p. [8 J, v, f; p3 j2 ]
