Each year, 7-Eleven customers look forward to quenching their summertime thirst on July 11, or Free Slurpee Day. This year, the convenience-store chain is celebrating its 87th birthday with a full week of freebies, starting Friday, by giving away millions of its signature sugary drink to customers.

1 O$ ~" A0 e. MBetween 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. this Friday at participating stores, customers can get a free 12 oz. Slurpee. No coupon or loyalty program membership is required. This is the 12th year that the Dallas-based retailer has offered free Slurpees on its birthday. To receive each day's free offer, customers must download and register on the 7-Eleven app to obtain a barcode, the company said. The customer will receive the free item as they check out. But you're in luck, the app isn't required to get a free Slurpee on Friday, July 11.
