买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

Line 369 - Home buyers' amount

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
5 i/ h: s& J8 _* i2 L' {0 @•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
5 r' N, M5 x8 ^/ k8 p; b& C; E) Z+ v% w•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
8 |+ ]# ?7 {8 @So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

只要是第一次买房,都可以。

; ?; d! L$ ^$ K9 w9 X( x* MThe claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.
