JOB FUNCTIONS:

3 m8 ^2 N- u# A6 F0 _+ g• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

+ K0 ]9 W, }8 Z4 m% h• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

) I. l, T- a  K( O8 Z- \• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

4 }* a* ~- w3 m: E; z  ^• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

1 _# Y3 t0 Y+ x• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

; Z" I2 @' }( B+ ^) `+ |• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.
% O9 [; Z) v" ?7 y
• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

4 ?1 p8 `8 w& {! G• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

' K% W) r: s( p1 `• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

; u! {- Z$ l# x# U• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

. D! a/ F3 Y6 X' w* |) }- m• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

% K  x9 R9 I- D) \* W• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

3 W* u+ \0 u2 m0 d7 O/ N-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
