Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of
( J& m( X0 B zAlberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

# ^& F3 ]/ a! |+ h4 y/ z(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By - ?# {9 j; B, K: |0 e% _7 D
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
) G1 ^& z! |7 O; S2 N! sinformation that will make your transition to the University community a0 Y6 B; W( O/ T3 y

& Q& l4 U0 l& _" r6 s0 k) }Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
2 O& w- z$ y9 c1 x3 Xof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
$ j! b& r& Q1 y3 ?( L+ y1 q4 T) K- Xlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 5 t% u, H$ M$ h5 Q; G2 ^9 S3 U( `
of directional information.# o6 O/ H( k4 D% U! `4 q5 g

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening % B$ Y' c8 c( q! ^3 c5 [
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
0 H) F; R4 h6 P; ~: l4 k0 S, Qa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
0 O! }. Y- S5 yevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
; p; p; z9 v* f, U6 Z$ \1 `/ oHawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 6 o- ]7 A: n) \" M
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 8 }$ i' f6 ]4 o+ G
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.
% A( S3 q0 R& q0 E3 D1 i* ^% a4 p% x
9 C1 C1 e4 K- `3 v8 i+ kBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
5 K$ J1 C2 z' ?$ h2 jto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from - e- ^3 f" D+ g; o( I: n: Z
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your " A, q# f, W3 |
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 7 v7 j: S+ e ~- ~2 r8 z) J+ @* W
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece W+ t1 R U& ~$ b: K" y C+ \0 B
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
* T/ e& k" F- i8 K8 y" a' YComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
. D/ b, m$ v+ ?- ], y, EInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and , w8 i$ t# G2 G9 }8 q z" B: @$ ]% m
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 8 p9 ^" ?; _) y7 v* ^2 c
two days of Orientation).
