Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

V! j o( t2 J1 M' _% g; q2 P4 |(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By , i4 G, u, f$ p& i; ~- S5 V& U
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of ! Z1 L$ K8 p, |9 c @
information that will make your transition to the University community / v8 V2 {5 t) c2 g3 w

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
% e! P( d2 m! lof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
5 \) B7 @2 p; W+ K8 S3 wlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ' e* g0 U9 x9 D: Q+ U. f7 l1 D
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 6 Y2 A/ I% w( ^7 V7 ]1 g
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend - K$ `! Y' A4 d, e) y* e
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday - h/ n" z8 `- _8 [: e; M0 a9 q
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in : K4 @9 e7 _3 G2 S! I( `+ k8 i
Hawrelak Park.6 _1 | W% P( K! c7 {" {: z
. q; ~: x- ^+ z: f% ?. A5 UYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
( M- p6 M7 P/ W/ b" T9 y$ fSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ) o6 W; { c) h& _. j1 l
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you % b5 A9 [/ o; n' o/ Q
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
# }9 }; Z2 V8 s+ G* Ryour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
( O6 Q7 y* ^4 h+ rONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process + C& I. p5 U, O5 c
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ! R( @7 L9 Y! D
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
], w2 x0 j$ U) J* s* tComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic / n- T9 Z- }/ M
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
$ `% e' R. H8 Z* j) Kbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
( ~2 c/ F# A6 ^6 c7 p- P4 J5 }3 ?two days of Orientation).
