(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By / w" o0 ]' n# J# d1 R
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of * S6 g( l9 { D! Y' E
information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
$ B2 o/ Y- b% \1 GSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
* {3 |: z& Q2 Z; Wof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 8 K* \+ T a4 {! _4 i
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
- m. _! x4 T# N2 q6 aof directional information.
' I& Y1 z B: Q/ P( x+ s+ D' G; z% q6 w. f* \/ g5 y# T( z
Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
% u0 M" J# h3 `) J$ tactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
/ L2 M( r7 E- x; xa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
3 o, t8 K1 `1 L: y; Kevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
! \& [- O$ X& ]) G2 q3 o' fHawrelak Park.

4 S1 B% ~8 m! ~( y2 |$ I! _3 V0 \You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
; E7 V5 ~7 H3 v" u2 Q0 NSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
0 o3 g% B0 `/ m# tand then continue to meet with for the entire year.7 W5 Z+ m* y1 `' n4 d- \* q. q

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
' C6 F0 G4 G. b; ~ B7 h1 X1 lto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 4 `/ M M; Z' t$ j, p# F
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
0 g5 X1 x/ h) n; P# F4 A; ~( a4 E% G3 P; eONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
! m/ d C! E9 x/ y1 f2 k& Vyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
x; @, d; o; b& m2 Oof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
& F2 u) X. D# g8 z$ f0 ZComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 9 j$ @" |9 B0 G' a& A" i; y
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
( E* T6 H1 s! X% Y9 @( N( N4 Xbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
# ] h- o& [$ V: jtwo days of Orientation).
