Job Responsibilities
6 F- w) [, e& m0 } d• To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
' ?5 w4 @( S+ o( A• Oversee hotel security requirements. 9 i2 R/ K0 B$ B& f! _
• To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
4 A; e" T \( G! _* t• To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation. ; P2 T# j' I0 X% y( f
• To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
9 W9 k# I0 ]7 R" U/ d. R• To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.; j# X9 \' | D0 Z) p7 m
• To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.
& D9 ^1 w9 _3 s• Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.
; \; `2 R" a1 q# w) K• Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
+ N0 X. W( X: T. X4 I# V! [6 l, a• Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
- d( \7 A) z, c5 u• Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed. " b2 O) j/ h) z4 R9 N2 J
• Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
: V8 S$ ~+ C& B* S" d• Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.
3 l& i. Q$ c( T+ O• Attend Cluster meetings.
/ g+ I+ J* i1 R• Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
+ ]! c e5 C, Q2 Z3 ]. w3 B9 k• Handle PMS computer problems in each department
2 _& i5 G% X; s0 [) |• Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies$ K- [$ w; n% o) h, D% b' T3 V
• Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center& k/ ?( c& u3 p+ w, S
• Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property0 O& G( h @" V+ t% M" T
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;" R5 ?$ W% ?) a* h" W. [
• Ability to lead and develop;" @, I5 g/ i' i. G' R
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
