9 q8 n6 c, g; \. ]* XLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.


7 P- `, [% r% G9 Q" T6 QResponsibilities and Tasks

7 c. d$ t/ p; ^. B1 D-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
0 j/ e5 p3 l+ e( X1 |; j-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
1 E& |/ {: o& j3 {-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
  M- G. F  ]) d- c-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
. T. @. `/ @; F5 c/ h-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
( G8 u( y5 r- l2 E& I$ D$ M( e-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
6 c: n1 G- R1 n* q: G: D-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
