Responsibilities

, R6 _- f# b+ ?* I2 b. {·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear

1 J5 }% L" e/ P" e8 v. q9 l·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

% R2 K1 I% }- ?& U$ H·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings
& L! t, ?8 V- M+ @) b& i$ d# v
  N( b: ^4 a, j2 _+ }; v( ^  k·         Reviewing vendor drawings

·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

. u4 D9 C' j8 _8 q9 e3 ^6 n, B·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

- N* W# f/ E, A" z- A; c·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

% ], c+ t. K# n3 K7 B# d9 G) q·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

·         Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project and the company.

5 g- o9 v1 y) G% o1 c·         BSc in Electrical Engineering
' w; u4 D" M% o
·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

* J, T( g8 I+ w/ Y& {·         Attention to detail is a must

6 [- V, k7 n9 ?- u( j·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

4 `: w( z: j( e+ Q·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

% f& R1 z  B% l. y& G/ p) w·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously

) N  `2 d$ H. T, _·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

8 ]2 \% f4 x6 U+ c0 s* h7 c2 R·         Strong interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

·         Possess a Class 5 driver’s license

·         Be willing to travel

Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
