4 g: L4 o/ o2 |A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. 4 K" r! P! T9 U1 t8 B2 i+ l( t6 o$ |$ J
Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident. 1 ]; X+ t V3 L r+ v* e 3 U' r, m8 Q! W, C5 UA search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. The man is charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. 2 d# r% u% L& o" F8 F + @5 v$ Q- H$ SA man wearing a balaclava and holding a handgun was seen in the area on two previous occasions — the first at 4 p.m. last Friday near the Snow Valley ski hill parking lot and on Saturday on the Terwillegar Drive footbridge. 8 V!
