Bylaw, bicycles must be equipped with adequate steering and brakes that will lock wheels on dry, clean, level pavement. If your bike is unsafe, Police can have it removed from the road or trail until it is repaired.

Cyclists aged 17 and younger are required by law to wear an approved bicycle helmet, including children in trailers and on trail-a-bikes. Adults are also encouraged to wear a helmet to avoid injury while cycling. 2 c! g- s1 w7 r, W d
8 [7 g- I4 J* _5 fHelmets must meet ANSI, Snell or CSA standards to provide enough protection. A properly fitting helmet should sit level from front to back about 3cm (1 inch) above your eyebrows. It should fit snugly with the straps adjusted so the 'V' is just below you ears and you can fit one finger between your chin and the strap.

Ride Where Cycling is Permitted
