1 _% d9 S* R6 rTo support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes.

This is a full time, one year term position working 37.5 hours per week with 10-15 hours per week dedicated to the children’s programming. (Continuation of this position will depend on available funding)! T, t& P G+ X& G5 r

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:# s1 Q" T$ E$ p2 O9 l+ q
• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;4 }2 r9 R. V5 m) O
• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;+ t/ {/ A$ \/ K1 R( v/ ^5 F
• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;5 @' ^3 z7 k/ l
• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise; ( L6 f+ W( G: }0 K; |/ D5 u! l, [
• Risk Management and succession planning;

Program Duties and Responsibilities include: B! V$ N- y3 S1 y% @
• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;1 o' ?1 I0 W" g+ h" @7 ^
• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;- T, E) @$ Y2 R# q2 ^6 W
• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;$ c7 C2 S3 i: L9 x( S' r5 f$ g) _
• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities
( @3 A- e: j" z# T, p6 C8 {5 w/ {• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;
+ D: E1 X1 |5 p8 Q5 Y• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;

' R' E+ O0 b2 l, E• Degree in communications, human services or related field;" [) U* e" m: O* c) K2 p
• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;, Y s, b$ k3 [& [" \# v" i
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations;
0 I7 x" v2 D/ U$ o0 u4 L• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;, |- f+ u7 @) L9 T9 w' \4 A9 H
• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical.; m2 ` Z1 U: m- ^3 J
• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;+ w, J9 j2 s R" H) \( h8 u$ s8 g: r
• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;
# Y, l& n/ z+ | A t' N# U$ J• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;0 W" H3 z8 A! U* N6 ~9 T4 G {
• Current valid drivers license;3 K- N0 f2 g. X
• Knowledge of and comfort with the implementation of behavioural intervention strategies;7 V$ J& W( k* Y( h
• Conflict resolution skills;
