Key Responsibilities

- provide volunteers to update membership database
4 ?* r# n% g* n* k. f2 ?- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers' J7 l8 @, o0 }9 y/ Z( a
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
( H& B" `. T5 \& Z- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties3 |6 X4 b Q8 I* S9 U
- provide volunteers for various programs ' {7 k! i, |( i y; S
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
: E3 d2 \9 C6 K, h) O* x- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
+ S' e8 w. Z' J- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
4 A- Q- a! b" H, M% a- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services+ p" ~; N0 z H3 B
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
' f& @. e7 A0 @$ M% z& D' {# x- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed! Q1 h9 Y: H/ ^& R& v. Q& g! }! Q
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed' K$ F. |1 X; N& Y. Y2 p& p7 J
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
/ [, Y' D1 M( F G- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
6 m& t7 V4 d/ Q7 ?& s8 m- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers $ c" [6 J, I% l. I( j
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre; o4 i8 c: S" s

( X N5 W/ `& Q7 e+ C+ C$ d {- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education! F2 H9 d8 S6 w9 C( P
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 N- g' v$ ?/ ^" @1 t% q' e
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
$ I1 G4 G+ X, N- leadership skills2 L8 o @% M0 a8 m& `
- management and supervision skills
