Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

- provide volunteers to update membership database
* {* q* O1 i, }# D- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers: O; g$ {0 i7 [
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties( [) E3 b7 ~" D" \! y/ |- O
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties' y+ ~$ _- d' M% Y- @ J$ N. p; y4 e6 {# }
- provide volunteers for various programs
4 j% z [6 x0 C6 G( r7 t# g- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
) M$ n0 `- m6 u2 F- g i; ~- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services* R& w5 i! T* ?1 N" Q$ M- z
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports z2 v+ w" @+ C: Y
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed+ |# e7 ~( c9 t' f V5 l' {4 M _
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

# b4 W8 H' m' K. _- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events % n% T; O- j3 B$ N. U7 y
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ! w7 Y$ {4 P9 h; w5 ~: e
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ' g6 p* L! c* P# i7 q% C( ?- ?
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers # q& r0 ?) i8 U( n" Z
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

% J+ j @! k: P P# N- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
2 ~1 b9 y K# A. c- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
7 S9 y# \. r% h4 p- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services3 Y6 ^, d7 N" b/ P* t
- leadership skills7 x) e4 j2 d) _& D) @" W; _' q: B

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills8 u6 Y- S( t3 l f2 s& a
