- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties0 C' _9 @1 w5 t: E9 B+ A: Q
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties# M7 o1 B! K* N( O
- provide volunteers for various programs 9 l9 B ^; q: d2 \
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
) W5 n. R) B t' q" O- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation6 g1 o+ b b8 ^# U" {
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities% D9 O: A& }. w) Y* ?
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
4 g' j1 Z8 {8 k+ d1 L v$ M: g! F% k- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports3 C8 v3 S' r( O' a$ _9 G
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed3 v1 Y" R( |3 S
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

1 I" S0 j" t9 V& ?- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ' Y" b: Q3 G; Q- b3 K0 a
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
1 F! }) F+ E4 |9 s7 ^- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
7 @3 v8 U% o, G- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers # m- E8 H: Y8 T7 D7 {
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis * n. G& i) {# C2 @2 ^) p/ S

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre, \7 F* J9 v m+ h- F7 m

Qualifications1 D) f% N4 p" s* y4 E9 h
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
' E; e- v6 G4 t$ ?- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% W) ~% C$ K" r
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services3 E, c) C4 P# x# {
- leadership skills
