- submit information for community news
# d B- }4 x. J- provide volunteers to update membership database
. M. [& s+ U. Q/ d- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
9 @4 U; a3 o4 Q! c% M# Z- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties( R0 f0 _. B: ]8 V) e5 U7 E
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties! f' U3 C# b+ P2 U0 g% D
- provide volunteers for various programs 6 V! `/ E- N( I3 W7 k7 m$ L
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual9 R6 d$ b) n4 n( h
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
6 U& M, h: W0 p6 B7 }- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
5 \. K( X( y* N( J1 f. h* B2 F- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services) L* k# T* x; r+ E
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports( O& w0 O2 U4 {" v' J
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
! f8 M& I3 I/ C4 c4 @% N+ [- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed$ {( v& p, y$ m( U$ v
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
$ S9 i5 y8 S: t- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events K3 c, V2 T, |; I1 |8 b) H
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ! b5 J! p7 _) S
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ) `/ M; h+ d n" ?2 k l# [8 U
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers / a: G8 L# }7 Q( |' }
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis - q- @8 h. `" I4 [3 l8 n
- evaluations @4 h- k& p. ?$ g" p/ n
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications5 G, m% I! n% G8 ?) q6 I# X5 R. i
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
% H: P' d. i- u9 \' w- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 W5 p) l$ |8 ^, W g* E- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
- v4 h4 o" l# _9 R+ f& I/ C- leadership skills7 D7 o G6 r ~- ]% O
- management and supervision skills: Y* M( p2 w/ ?% m: o# W( j3 l* \7 z
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills( x& X$ |2 y5 W1 U; {6 w
