What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
! L$ L( H$ ]1 c* k5 XEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
3 G* e4 R; B. \& F* R: A( Z7 |1) Any bodily injury or death;
0 g8 E0 z8 O* v5 |2) A Hit-and-Run;
1 ^5 q) K& k# c8 k {7 T3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
6 X3 M# f- v2 }! J) J4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
) b3 ~2 i4 [$ C: K/ q' i5) An out-of-province vehicle.

* }) _& t* ~7 {% p7 G5 i. cNormally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
