Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. : L2 }( G2 T4 c$ N, |

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person" C# Q/ x9 K5 n" ~- v m5 ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST1 | |8 I& Q" ]( a" {
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
. a3 k( V7 \* V* j$ v• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# T' o2 V" h1 t* c& Y9 m8 z& H
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ q* O7 E$ A" H! @
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker7 B% m: K4 n5 D) Y) g& C
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! c! q# S1 h, m. |# U6 y8 J, H• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events4 A- X# e$ ]1 u3 I, V
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
4 ~6 `7 y6 d& @# K• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters1 P9 R' P. z1 X+ `7 L5 b7 X% s
• Maintain front counter service files9 A( T& Z8 x% x' [
• Perform general office duties as assigned, z/ Y0 \" ~/ s

- @2 O/ r3 k# c9 Z/ A/ ]Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
0 t! t+ ?& x1 \5 I. p( V& L0 n• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& h+ Y+ t, b6 Q3 R/ Y• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 S+ ?+ G" a: [' L9 _
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:( Z1 x, C7 t* F+ ?% j$ @9 B
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 C& ~; V4 n$ G$ c) e• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 ], D. A. D! R
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
