Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
4 G% P2 Y9 [4 KHours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary:

V& r& |7 ~# y8 uWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 N. n* @: z; q _
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ B6 p( Y: v; z' G
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
$ ]/ d- V+ s7 n% P6 i! k• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
' k3 A% k0 N0 x% Q) w3 b• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& [% r0 Z7 k$ d
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
' V" y! {! K, Q• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- r& f5 S7 d# J O; b• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
+ { K. _. A) _( w) Y _1 i8 K• Keep the reception area tidy and clean, ~# J3 Q. C) Z
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

6 S7 Z9 H- r8 u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 N+ ]( C6 G* \& p• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
; ^ t+ d5 a8 i" P• Good English writing and oral communication skills
4 E0 N) l; O% d, e% n3 i• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients) m) ~( k( E+ V% ^* r% L3 j
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
4 i# c$ l0 O a- X* d- B/ t• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
4 o, q3 Z' ]( \% }) }) Z• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:! r8 A5 z1 B- J( @& Q
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) j* q1 t1 L2 v% F9 b7 v; O- i• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
, ?8 m& g8 n7 g& f+ Z1 A• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism( c( @" d6 Q! R! ]7 j% N- g. ~
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 w3 M* k- \5 b* l3 z. F
