& q) d d, v |! Y* g0 R* a• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed) f" T# C. W6 [7 I8 M! ^4 R& O
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
" p7 Y( G0 V' \$ ~; f• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers0 I. i; p3 D' W& B/ i' N
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams( b2 Q% J3 ^1 S9 l( a* q* J) n
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place$ n8 u0 j0 c% t
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment* D6 \$ S6 x- `8 T
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools/ R8 F& s! [0 E# P2 h
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
, G" Z! s0 {& a5 I, v3 g( i N• Mix paint, blend and match colors. R! o+ q w+ \3 H m: A2 N
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns7 q- d( P8 T- F$ q% `9 R1 w' n
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs, X( w) U; d) y& @
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

Education and Experience Requirements:
6 C _: W* Y' u% I( L Q• Completion of secondary school is required
; e% v$ _6 s6 g- @• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program $ D& O+ U. V( ~) f$ {: U9 U
or' n" k" V, X- e. ~# m
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade . q; w$ ^/ J- o4 [3 e
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
