Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker' G! i7 o, w5 d+ P
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

# Y/ p: s% ?, @( q# u% w% ~Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 8 }) B* K# O$ ~1 \

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 {2 _5 |0 W9 \+ l1 b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, F# h# O/ N: L1 r+ P+ Q$ P• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately% c0 F; w+ R. }% q3 `
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
, U+ v4 P8 O6 q& D F( F0 u& L* i• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings& z$ B) ~" G( @# ~0 J+ O( B G, G
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 ^4 X: O, s) M g; h1 _- {6 U
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
; _1 c4 O/ U, L! L, t! Q• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% u4 ?/ H- b% c• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:# v1 F0 A7 |" l; \+ C# n
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ N8 s8 n6 Q/ i! L' Y. H `• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' p* y7 }! f* D5 \- R# a. G5 ?
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
0 u5 r; u, ~3 X0 @0 Y* Q3 T• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- W4 U, r9 I% m) P6 V/ F5 E0 C- q$ j• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:2 e/ q2 G) r% P- J
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 [2 U' K7 F( {5 ]6 w: S
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' R7 _, v# G# q! \: f4 u; s N9 {• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
