' n4 K, `8 f( w% B: z5 D+ V& _Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
; F+ q( Q7 I) S7 J1 f•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 v; l: @4 V  h/ W$ H3 b' f
•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ a3 F/ M% j  t' E% s
•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
2 z; b% H0 t" B/ S' u: x2 V+ n•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
, ?; r  ?7 K, Z9 Q•        Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings" }, j5 q( N7 R) n) b7 B
•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ I4 f- l8 P% X2 [  I•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
$ v/ e, N# C+ M7 z7 M# B" m6 d•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
3 O$ U, w$ S8 I! k; Q•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

•        Perform general office duties as assigned1 k. I2 U/ w) h
•        Report to ISP Program Manager

, y( m; d! O- C5 A7 VKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:" T. R7 w3 F# _
•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ t) t0 F* B( q, q+ ?
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
$ s% ^, E( L; g! ]9 O- L•        Good English writing and oral communication skills
( Z& e% j0 B. l* S•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' o- F# F: G6 a$ Q•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
+ v" S8 q$ G3 n* n•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately * z3 x/ d) W3 h5 I
•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
6 M; n* V% z5 T3 R' B•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment) `) h8 P( t! i' ^/ M1 F
•        Knowledge of immigrant services1 E# ^/ B- Z! p6 L4 }6 c
Qualifications:
3 M* i, p% |/ O3 u3 {1 w•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience
4 S6 r/ v. p. Q" ?  R$ R/ C•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
; c  c# X! B) V" K•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
5 k1 e; o; u3 u•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision
3 V& n/ ]6 U( G+ r* g5 e' V! t+ y( g! j2 P; ]' J, Q
