YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. + u( K6 y8 ^! N: d2 s
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired' h% Y6 s4 a! Y9 [5 j0 O* e
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
6 W; I5 ?) E8 E8 v5 Z• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
, x3 p8 W4 t: O' ]6 C) J• Input benefit deductions into payroll. V; L6 u5 s. w) B

• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
8 Y! D' J: C% T2 j• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
9 D+ F0 p4 _! d$ r4 V• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
3 |* @' i( N" j6 |3 L8 Y% N• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority$ w$ n1 P- ]$ g; g( K: h) p) Q7 }; \
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll ' n3 A6 J4 N! k
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
' j$ w: J9 _: ~1 L7 f• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
! N7 B h+ [2 R2 Y1 N0 W! T• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting; t/ R, w* f; `+ w' ?

Accounts Receivable:& v/ H6 Q6 P O% W- p) V; |! e
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
' L x- v; _% C5 i. J8 u: q/ n• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
7 n- \# A- V- \' A• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments0 P0 A4 X2 t; w7 O
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:
) {/ |3 n0 b: f+ w, V
- _. c; s/ M7 a• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
( i9 Y$ k O# e, B• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
& @) G0 ]2 G, _6 ]: _7 J1 F• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position r! l c) y- e3 h2 a# [4 t
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
) v4 x. L, |: A9 ^5 K3 X. A1 j2 B# J+ Q• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work% k. c7 @ |/ f f6 z3 _
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
