$ W* @0 I8 D! g* M/ U# \$ HYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

0 z9 j6 P8 g/ T" `Payroll:
* J7 J" P- k9 M4 ?• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired2 D+ N+ v" }6 t: _( F+ H# t7 B
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll3 ^* h( s6 v3 p6 J
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
# p$ P& O" {+ V5 g: o• Input benefit deductions into payroll

) u$ }5 E1 K$ C* [7 m3 a/ dReporting duties:
- T. a; h/ M7 t* }+ F0 V% C- N• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
6 m4 J' W( B2 h6 C$ F+ B% b6 U/ u0 n• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
) \/ l- r0 a) _) O7 {. D5 N• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s1 d3 S8 }) E" f/ i0 p( d& J. H& A
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority$ W% C& ]: }2 f- Z9 c
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
% M) J/ Z/ v. n3 L2 `. j• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
; A5 M8 w% C$ o, G2 W• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies0 ? ]8 t4 G' z$ i! t2 U& H/ B
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting8 q! ~# `% O9 r5 ]4 B5 c# Z! ?

Accounts Receivable:$ J) m! N7 y7 ~; d3 n- M
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit- R- Y/ a' Y3 R* m* `2 ]5 d
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
# Z2 ]4 d% @' h' C" U2 y0 G• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
" l+ v$ R3 y, b• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing% O6 ?6 }9 @# Q; B( E0 o$ i" b8 o7 E
! A- y8 C) ]$ j# b9 l7 F, F9 f
Qualifications:6 n, N" u! V- s6 @
. m; G& d- C# \! X
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP( J3 K, }' G6 j
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
- k4 W# l: S! }1 ~• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position+ c) @; q7 a' S/ r
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office

6 @# t8 v2 t# H4 n2 K/ D• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
