and Canadian-Asian culture are some of the ways in which this goal is achieved.

Each session presents concepts through interactive activities that encourage active discussion and participation.* r$ l! E2 z; D$ v2 C4 L

Regular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
7 U+ l* u; F7 [" q' w9 iSummer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily3 Y# D: D$ U/ F# D( r
2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily

Who can participate?
; \2 A$ M1 V& c& h* R) o( T9 }. JAsian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.1 H" d4 d* y: d/ \; C9 `

What is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?
" t* T5 H# a' I( n4 A+ Y8 EIt is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.

 Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies
! C9 I' u' J3 t( W0 J3 d Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development
, q- ]* S6 C9 @3 \& Q Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities5 y$ k" z( t5 @. Y" N
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
7 j( w5 V! q$ j0 d% H. i4 c* |& n Research activities related to the sessions’ topic- z) R+ U5 m3 J* p. G% W I7 }8 `
 Enforce safety rules during program sessions and fieldtrips

 On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)
# N9 _2 ?( y; s' ?8 q/ B One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer! ]9 J# n% X. g6 U) t; d

 Open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youth in the program

 Value the building on strengths of children, youth and families
